Ray Yeung tomatoes are highly praised by local chefs for their intense flavor, unique sizes, shapes, and colors. Yeung Farm is owned by “Uncle” Ray Yeung and his family. Their 60+ acre farm was established in 1950 in West Sacramento. Yeung Farm grows over two dozen varieties during the season. A bit ahead of schedule, we are currently stocking the following from Uncle Ray:
Carolina Gold– Bright, golden-yellow in color. They are sweet, low in acidity, and full of flavor. Sold by the 10# case only.

Pink Brandywine– A rosy pink tomato with an old-fashioned tomato taste. It is considered one of the most flavorful varieties. Sold by the 10# case only.

Vine Ripe Rounds– Uncle Ray’s vine ripes are a variety named Shady Lady, a sweet and full-flavored tomato. Unlike most round tomatoes, they are picked off the vine when they are fully ripe and red. They are a meaty tomato with no seed cavity. Vine ripes are roughly the size of a 5X5 tomato and packed in a 2-layer 20# case only.

Also available: Green Shady Lady tomatoes. Available by the 20# case. Perfect for fried green tomatoes!
