A bold, sumptuous triple cream cheese with a rich, smooth flavor and pungent aroma. Red Hawk is aged four weeks and washed with a brine solution that encourages the red-orange rind.
The wild bacteria that defines this bold cheese are native to Point Reyes; in fact, this cheese could not be made anywhere else.
Available in a 10oz wheel.
Delicious as a stand-alone cheese, makes a wonderful addition a cheese board, and melts beautifully on a sandwich.
Cowgirl Creamery started in 1997 by Sue Conley and Peggy Smith, who had established careers in some of San Francisco’s most famous kitchens.
