Sciabica's California Olive Oil
Sciabica’s California Olive Oil was founded by Nicola Sciabica in 1936. Nicola was born in Marsala, Sicily. At a young age he learned the artisan tradition of olive oil production while working in the olive oil mills of Castelvetrano located in the province of Trapani– a region famous for olives and olive oil.
In 1925, Nicola Sciabica chose Modesto to settle in and grow his olives because it reminded him of the warm Mediterranean climate he was used to in Sicily. The Sciabica family has been cold-pressing olive oil on the same property in Modesto for over 80 years. They are the oldest producer in the United States. Today, the third and fourth generations of the Sciabica family carry on the family tradition of olive oil production.
In the late 80’s, the Sciabica family pioneered “single varietal” olive oils, keeping individual olive types separate (just like wine).
Sciabica’s olive oils are cold-pressed, 100% GMO-free, sustainably farmed, and artisan-crafted in small batches. Sciabica EVOO is certified extra virgin by the Olive Oil Commission of California.

Mission Trail 100% Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Made from fully ripe Mission variety olives which are the only olive native to California. This oil has a lush buttery flavor, with a delicate underlying touch of sweetness and subtle notes of olive blossoms; no bitterness or pungency. It is perfect for general use, cooking, garnishing plates, baking and more.

Arbequina Olive Oil
Arbequina EVOO is loved for its strong fruity notes with little pungency. It has a very pleasing clean taste and flavors of tropical fruit and fresh artichoke. Used for “strong” pestos, and works well for vinaigrettes and finishings.

California Pure Olive Oil
A blend of 90% refined olive oil and 10% extra virgin olive oil. Refined olive oil is virgin olive oil that has been heat processed and refined, creating a mild, light tasting, and more stable oil. This is a general use oil that can stand high heat cooking better than EVOO.
